Allen
brings 21 years experience including software development and management,
workforce automation, distributed computing application development, and
spacecraft ground command and telemetry systems to the GlobalNet team. In
1984, Allen graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelors of
Science degree in MIS/Computer Science. He would then earn his Master of
Engineering degree in Computer Science in 1989 from the University of
Colorado. Allen, formerly of Lockheed Martin, was recently the Ground Data
System and Operations Development Manager for the Mars Global Surveyor
(MGS), MSP ’98 Orbiter/Lander, and Stardust programs for all ground voice
and data communication systems hardware and software development, test, and
operation. These systems are capable of supporting all phases Assembly,
Test, Launch, and Mission Operations. He has also provided Ground Data
System, Integration & Test, and Mission Operations Support for the following
programs: Magellan, MGS, MSP ’98 Orbiter/Lander, Stardust, Mars Odyssey,
Genesis, Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, Deep Impact, TechSat 21, Road Runner,
and Hubble Robotic Vehicle.
