 Joe is the CEO and co-founder of Avtrak, Inc., provider of the industry’s first Internet based and compliance focused maintenance tracking service – Avtrak GlobalNet. Joe is well known in the corporate maintenance community for his in-depth understanding of the Federal Aviation Regulations as they affect aircraft maintenance and regulatory compliance. Prior to founding Avtrak, Inc. in 1996, Joe spent most of his 20 years in the aircraft maintenance field holding leadership positions including Service Manager for Duncan Aviation and Corporate Director of Quality and Process Improvement for Steven’s Aviation. This background has provided Joe with first hand experience and perspective as to the problems that can exist between owner/operators and repair stations when compliance is not properly understood or tracked. Joe writes a column “Around the Hangar” which appears in Aircraft Maintenance Technology magazine, and is in his 15th year as a committee member for NATA’s Maintenance and Systems Technology committee. In his spare time, Joe can be found spending time with his wife, Marcie, two sons Hayden and Adam, and daughter Jessica or enjoying the mountains, hiking, hunting, fishing, snowboarding or just resting.
