Why Should I Consider Avtrak?

There are many different situations and reasons that will make Avtrak the right choice for you. The top reasons that our customers tell us are:

  1. Ease of use.

Avtrak’s web based user interface is simply the most intuitive interface to your data that there is. Designed by aviation maintenance professionals, the Avtrak interface is extremely fast and easy to learn, making it the new industry and OEM approved standard for maintenance compliance tracking

  1. Mixed Fleet Support

Avtrak supports more than 140 different makes and models of aircraft, making Avtrak the one and only OEM accepted/approved system that can manage your mixed fleet.

  1. OEM Supported and Approved

Avtrak is the only compliance tracking service accepted or approved by all of the major corporate aircraft manufacturers. In fact Avtrak is the company and technology behind several of the OEM branded services, like Gulfstream CMP.net™, Raytheon FACTS, Sikorsky Helotrac II and the Sino Swearingen MX system enabling you to manage them all together in a single system. The Avtrak Globalnet system is an approved system for tracking all Dassault Falconjet aircraft and is accepted by Bombardier for the tracking of all Learjet and Challenger aircraft.

  1. Quality support

Avtrak’s ability to support you is second to noe. The majority of our staff of Compliance Specialists are A&P or IA’s with an average of more than 15 years of hangar floor, Chief Inspector and/or QA experience. That experience is put to work for you for you from the start,  beginning with your initial audit and enrollment into the Avtrak system, to the day-to-day collaboration and experienced “second set of eyes” your want on your team overseeing the compliance of your aircraft. We are her to support you as a trusted extension of your own maintenance department.

  1. Price

Avtrak’s prices are established to be very competitive (often 30+% less than competing systems). Although the subscription savings are significant, your biggest value will come from the added efficiency a single system that is fast, easy to use and backed by a high quality support staff  will bring to your operation.

With more than 10,000 active users, chances are you know someone who uses Avtrak Globalnet or an Avtrak emPowered service like Gulfstream CMP.net™ or Raytheon FACTS. Feel free to ask them what they think.

Will changing to Avtrak impact the resale value of my aircraft?

Not at all – at least not in a negative way. Many people are still under the false impression that the maintenance tracking service that you use will impact the resale value of their aircraft. Any professional involved in the buying and selling of an aircraft will attest to the fact that when an aircraft is being sold, it is the maintenance records and logbooks that are reviewed and used to determine the true maintenance compliance of the aircraft.

The objective of any maintenance tracking service is to be an accurate reflection of what the physical records say the status of the aircraft is. To that end Avtrak, because of our quality support staff, level of service and system ease of use, has been found to be the perfect tool to achieve that objective. Not only do we use your logbooks to enroll your airplane into Avtrak (audited enrollment) and to establish true maintenance compliance status,  we will audit every system update going forward to ensure that your records and your Avtrak tracking service are in sync.

In fact Avtrak is used as an unbiased 3rd party in many aircraft sales transactions as a tool to determine maintenance compliance on any aircraft, (see Avtrak Prebuy Records Research)  regardless of what tracking system it has been on - or if it has been on any tracking system at all.

I have an airplane on Gulfstream CMP.net™ , how does this system work with Avtrak?

The way Avtrak works with these “emPowered by Avtrak” OEM services is unique (described in more detail on this web site under Services/OEM Support Services). All of these services are running from a single, secure data center. While you, the customer see all of your aircraft through a single logon to a single system, behind the scenes your data and compliance program is maintained and supported by the OEM. So for example, if a new Chapter 5 requirement comes out, that information automatically becomes available to you in your program in real time. You are also assured that when you are requesting a task card or maintenance procedure from an Avtrak emPowered system – it is the most current information available from the manufacturer. Avtrak does not copy, modify or attempt to duplicate any manufacturer provided data like other competing systems have been known to do.

Do you have and Work Order and Inventory Control capabilities?

Yes. Avtrak’s Work Order system (GlobalWorks) and Inventory Control system (GlobalPArts) are fully integrated with all Avtrak emPowered services. See more detailed information on this web site under Servcies.

How long has Avtrak been around?

Avtrak was founded in 1996 by Joe and Glenn Hertzler as a Maintenance management firm tracking individual aircraft maintenance compliance. In 1997 they added consulting services to provide regulatory compliance management services to Part 91, Part 135 flight operations as well as Part 145 Repair stations. Avtrak Globalnet, introduced in 2001, was the first true Internet based maintenance tracking service. Since then the acceptance of the service has been tremendous, bringing the total number of tracked aircraft well over the 4,000 mark, making Avtrak the most widely used tracking service in the world.

How do I get an airplane enrolled in Avtrak?

Contact us at your convenience and we will put together a service agreement that details the service you want and options you select.  Under any scenario, Avtrak’ staff does all of the work in enrolling your aircraft into the system. Our goal is to make the process as smooth and efficient as possible.

If it’s a new airplane, there’s a good chance we can enroll directly from the factory via an electronic transfer of data.  Avtrak can enroll any new Dassault Falconjet or new Bombardier Challenger or Learjet this way. If you are taking delivery of a new Gulfstream, Raytheon Hawker, King Air, Premier or Sino Swearingen SJ30, the enrollment will be done automatically by the manufacturer and included at no charge for the first year.

If your aircraft is already in service, we understand that changing a maintenance tracking service is a big decision. Rest assured that when you do make the decision to change to Avtrak, our professional staff will make the transition as smooth and efficient as possible. Our A&P/IA Compliance Specialists will go to work for you, auditing your records to ensure that your maintenance tracking system is an accurate reflection of your maintenance records. Our Standard level of service will ensure that they stay in sync through ongoing analyst oversight and an audit of every system update.

As an option, if you are on another maintenance tracking service and are comfortable with the accuracy of their data, we can enroll your aircraft into Avtrak from a printed status report.

What Levels of Service do you Offer?

We offer a choice of service levels so that we can adapt to the needs of most any type of operation.

GlobalNet Standard – The GlobalNet Standard service includes direct 24x7 access to the GlobalNet system and a dedicated Compliance Specialist to assist in keeping aircraft in compliance. The Compliance Specialist monitors the status of the aircraft on a daily basis and assists as required in planning for maintenance events. After maintenance in performed the Compliance Specialist scrutinizes each logbook entry created for the aircraft to ensure that all maintenance is properly documented and approved for return to service. Standard users may elect to Fax their updates/logbook entries to their Compliance Specialist who will update and maintain the compliance status information in GlobalNet, or Standard users may elect to update the system directly in real-time and have the Compliance Specialist review the updates for accuracy and completeness. User updated items are marked as “Pending” and sent to an electronic Analyst Work Queue for Compliance Specialist review and approval. Access for up to three users from Subscribers company per aircraft is included. Additional users may be added for a nominal charge. In short, GlobalNet Standard service is the best way to ensure your maintenance records and tracking service are always in sync. GlobalNet Standard service also includes Work Cards and Work Card packages along with links to the full text of AD’s.

GlobalNet Lite– The GlobalNet Lite service includes direct 24X7 access to the GlobalNet system, however, no Compliance Specialist oversight, assistance, or quality checks are provided. As work is accomplished Subscriber will maintain the compliance information in the GlobalNet database along with the flight utilization information. Avtrak Compliance Specialists will continue to maintain the master compliance data set, so any additions or changes to the factory maintenance program are automatically reflected in Subscriber’s program. This includes new service bulletins and AD’s.

How is User Access Controlled?

You determine how many users you will need and what level of access you want them to have. Access can be fine tuned on a user by user basis. You determine what aircraft each user has access to and what rights they have for each aircraft.

Can I give access to my maintenance provider?

Yes. In fact many maintenance providers already use Avtrak every day, so they are already familiar with the system. You determine what level of access you want them to have for your aircraft and for how long. Their access will expire automatically when you want it to.

Do I need to load or update any software?

No. Avtrak Globalnet is a completely web based service. All you need is a PC with a standard Microsoft Internet Explorer browser and a free copy of Adobe Acrobat reader to view reports.

The best part is that as Avtrak adds improvements to our service, you have immediate access to them the next time you log in.

How can I see a system demonstration?

Avtrak is more than happy to provide on live, interactive system demonstration for you at your convenience. We conduct these daily via the Internet. Please give us a call to let us know when you are available and we will do the rest.

We also promise to follow-up at your direction. We want to be responsive and professional but not annoying.
